Can you belive that Anahata Grace and Flow Yoga Center are already in their third week of donation classes? That’s right, and Silvia Dumitrescu will be leading you Saturday, April 24th at 1:30 in an energetic, spirited and rejuvenating class. Silvia’s teaching draws heavily on the Jivamukti and Anusara styles, with her instruction seeking to balance the mind-body connection through synchronized breath and movement. Silvia’s six year yoga practice has been greatly influenced by her training with renown yoga teachers Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Shiva Rea, Doug Swenson, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Rod Stryker, Amy Ippoliti, and Alanna Kaivalya. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga Alliance certified Flow Yoga Center in Washington DC.
Join Jamie Boese at Flow Yoga Center this Saturday, April 17th at 1:30, so that she can start your afternoon off just right with a mixed level vinyasa class that will incorporate Patanjali’s concepts of stirha (effort) and sukha (ease) into a practice including meditation, asana, and pranayama. The class will begin with the intention of selfless service (seva) directed toward the constinuents of Anahata Grace. Escape the spring thunderstorms and come flow with members of the yoga community in this donation-based class!
Just a bit more about your teacher: Jamie Boese is a registered vinyasa flow yoga teacher who lives and thrives in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. She is also co-founder of the local DC yoga, fitness and wellness blog, WelcomeOmDC.
Please join us on the rooftop of Public Bar Thursday, April 29th for the first (of many to come) Anahata Grace happy hour. Drink, be merry, and learn about our vision, mission, and hope for the future of our organization.
For those women who desire to be more in tune with their bodies, make sure to mark every first Friday and third Saturday of the month to ensure a mind-body experience with yoga goddess Megan Davis.
Megan’s class will provide you with the overall tools to tailor your practice so that it is more supportive of your own internal rhythms, specifically addressing how asanas and pranayama techniques can provide relief for symptoms associate with the menstrual cycle and menopause.
So all of you ladies whose moon is in your cycle, journey over to Yoga Chai and experience a Dana workshop on Saturday, April 17th at 1:15pm.
