Cultivating Gratitude: A Thanksgiving Day Workshop

October 23rd, 2008 by JessicaWeiss

At Flow Yoga Center (1450 P St.), with Megan Davis

Date: Thursday, Nov 27

Time:  9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Cost: This is a donation class. All proceeds will go to Anahata International. Please bring cash/check. We recommend $25 but any amount is welcome!

In this workshop we will do 60 minutes of vinyasa and pranayama and 30 minutes of restorative poses followed by a 30 minute yoga nidra practice.

Yoga teaches us to be grateful for the present moment and unveils the primary principle of the universe, sri (abundance).

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” –Melody Beattie
